About RNSIT RNS Institute of Technology (RNSIT) established in the year 2001 is the brain- child of the Group Chairman, Dr. R. N. Shetty. The Murudeshwar Group of Companies headed by Dr. R. N. Shetty is a leading player in many industries viz., construction, manufacturing, hotel, automobile, power & IT services and education. The group has contributed significantly to the field of education. A number of educational institutions are run by R. N. Shetty Trust, and RNSIT is one among them. With a continuous desire to provide quality education to society, the trust has established RNSIT, an institution to nourish and produce the best of engineering and management talents. About the Library Library at RNSIT was established in the year 2001. It endeavors to provide value-added services to support engineering and management education of the institution. The key motive is to improve education through quality information system and services. It ensures well equipped library facilities along with printed and electronic resources. Over the years RNSIT library has developed with necessary and relevant resources like books, journals, standards and specifications, trade catalogues, reports, etc., providing excellent information services. About the Seminar Library and information services today are changing very rapidly. Present Internet age has a lot of positive impact on Digital Information Systems and Services Management. Innovations in technology have lead to the emergence of a new phase in library development through timely application of digital technology. Added to this is the accelerated convergence of communication technologies with publishing and the media. Services become possible in the libraries only by implementing digitization activities. This upgrades libraries to provide better quality and a greater diversity of services and management than they currently are able to do with analogue technology. Utilizing these opportunities, libraries are harnessing better quality services to users. This national seminar is designed to provide an opportunity to discuss various aspects of Digital Information Systems and Services Management across the country. It aims at bringing together librarians of various engineering colleges and related premier institutes to deliberate on the challenges and issues concerning the theme of the seminar. Take away

Guidelines for Authors · The paper will be in Times New Roman with font size 12, space 1.5, clearly mentioning Name of Author(s), Title of Paper, Affiliated Organization, Contact Number and E-mail ID of Authors. · Softcopy of the paper in MS Word should be sent through e-mail and as attachment to rnsitlibrarynationalseminar@gmail.com on or before 15th June 2010. · Acceptance of the paper will be communicated to the participants on 30th June 2010. · All the selected papers are to be presented by the Authors. Each presentation will be of 15 minutes duration. · Mailing Address/author affiliation should be given in the paper. · Selected papers will be published in the Seminar Proceedings.
