C I R C U L A R

Sub : PUNISHMENT – ATTEMPT for RAGGING 

       It is brought to the notice of all concerned that, any attempt/involvement in ragging may

       result in any one or combination of the following punishments:

Ø  Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges.

Ø  Withholding/ withdrawing scholarship/fellowship and other benefits.

Ø  Debarring from appearing in any test/ examination or other evaluation process.

Ø  Withholding of results.

Ø  Debarring from representing the Institution in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival, etc.,

Ø  Suspension / expulsion from the hostel.

Ø  Cancellation of admission.

Ø  Rustication from the Institution for period ranging from 1 to 4 semesters.

Ø  Expulsion from the Institution and consequent debarring from admission to any other Instituion for a specified period.

Ø  Fine upto Rupees One Lakh.

Ø  Collective punishment: When the persons committing or abetting the Crime of ragging are not identified, the Institution shall resort to collective punishment.
